Southwest Dance Company has been the exclusive children’s creative and modern dance studio in St. George, Utah since 1982. With over four decades of dedication to the art of movement, we specialize in age-appropriate, progressive dance education tailored specifically for children. Our experienced faculty are passionate about teaching modern dance and nurturing each dancer’s technical and artistic growth.

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of each age group, offering a structured yet imaginative environment where dancers can thrive. As the year progresses, you’ll witness significant growth in your child’s abilities—both in technique and creative expression.

Each spring, our annual Dance Concert in April serves as a joyful celebration of our dancers’ hard work and progress. This cherished event has become a beloved tradition in Southern Utah, offering families the opportunity to see firsthand the transformation that occurs throughout the year.

At Southwest Dance Company, we believe in fostering the growth of the whole child. Our creative dance classes encourage movement exploration, helping dancers develop physical skills while learning the language of dance and studying the pioneers of modern dance.

By engaging in creative problem-solving and imaginative play, children grow cognitively, socially, and emotionally. They also learn to incorporate various art forms into their movement practice, enriching their overall experience.
