What makes our dancers so special? It’s knowing that the old Softie Cat can’t see your little mouse whiskers and your little mouse tail and you hide in the corner. It’s being able to put on your fairy shoes and go dancing in the wind. It’s finding a dragon’s tooth and a snakey tail and catching a leprechaun. It’s balancing on the silken threads of spider webs and being brave enough to face the Ghost-Eye-Tree.
Our dancers know … that they are loved … that they are important … that they have their own statement, their own music, their own dance waiting to be created. Southwest Dance Theatre is a lab for young, inventive minds.
We are the keepers of innocence, the makers of dreams. Tonight we invite you to leave the outside world of stress, technology, or things artificial and competitive. Please enter once again the world of children where your child of innocence is safe. Come dance with us as we share our magic with you.
